William G. Self, Jr., M.D.
Originally from the Detroit area, he attended and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966 and MD degree in 1970 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He then attended the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY as an intern in the department of surgery from 1970 - 1971. At this time he was drafted into the United States Air Force and served two years as Flight Surgeon with rank of Captain. This was followed by a nine month stint as an emergency room physician in St. Louis before coming to Denver to attend the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center as a resident in ophthalmology from 1974 - 1977. Immediately on completion of residency he opened a private practice in Westminster that shortly became the Eye Surgery Center of Colorado, P.C. |

- LASIK since March, 1997.
- Instructor in PRK and LASIK for ClearVision Laser Centers
- Has had LASIK performed on himself with excellent results.
Personal History:
Dr. Self is married with three children. He enjoys cycling, skiing, and windsurfing.
